A team of Dyer engineers, headed by Stuart Banks (C.I. Manager), visit Cummins Engines HHP plant at Daventry to see supplied parts on the engine and create improvement ideas.
As part of Dyer Engineering long-term commitment to Cummins Engines, Stuart Banks initiated a fact-finding visit to the HHP Daventry plant on 13th November 2013.
The team who also included Craig Westgarth (Quality Engineer) Martin Bayliss and Dave Burnyeat (Production team leaders) were given the brief “to view Dyer Engineering supplied components in situ on the engine and think of manufacturing ideas to promote repeatability, improve quality and reduce cost”
The teams engineering and production activity experience complemented the Cummins team and soon open discussion was enjoyed with many ideas being created.
The visit was regarded by everyone involved as a great success and as a result cost and quality improvement initiatives on 5 key parts are already underway.
